Join Informed Texas for this online conference on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 about Texas Veterans and medical cannabis! We will be joined by Commissioner Miller, Jordan Tishler, MD, Bryon Adinoff, MD, Wendy Askew, MD, Darina Douchi, Pharm(D) as well as two panels of veterans that will focus on Pain, PTSD and Cannabis as well as Veteran Engagement. There will be multiple Q&A opportunities. We encourage veterans, patients and caregivers to participate in this event and learn more about cannabis.
The medical professionals will discuss how medical cannabis works, why THC is important and how cannabis affects symptoms of PTSD and Pain as well as potential prescription drug interactions. Attendees will also hear the personal stories of several Texas veterans about how medical cannabis has impacted their life and how they empower themselves to engage on this topic. Commissioner Miller will update us on Texas’ hemp program. (Agenda to be released.)
We are currently looking for sponsors. These sponsors will enable us to keep our ticket pricing low to enable more veteran and patient participation. Our hope is to also be able to offer some free tickets to veterans. Proceeds will be used for educational exhibits at the Capitol, educational resources for legislators and to further our mission of cannabis education.
